This policy applies to the Merano Studio games Bricks of Zai and Zen Stones (each, the "App"). Our other apps do not show advertising and are covered by a separate policy; Flooring It has its own.
We want to be clear about our data practices. We never ask for, receive or store your name, email address, postal address, phone number, payment details, location, contacts or photos. There is no account, no sign-up and nothing to log in to, and we do not sell or share anything about you with anyone.
Two things are worth naming rather than hiding behind that. These games show ads through Google AdMob, which does receive data about your device — that is described below. And a purchase sends us a record of the transaction together with a random identifier, which is also described below. Neither one tells us who you are, but both are more than nothing, so we would rather set them out plainly.
Both games generate a random identifier the first time they run and keep it in your device's keychain. If you use iCloud Keychain, it is shared with your other devices signed into the same Apple Account — which is what lets a purchase made on one device be recognised on another.
These games use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Please note:
We use no analytics or crash-reporting service in these games. We do not collect usage statistics, session data or crash reports from them.
Your scores, your progress and your settings never leave your device. They are written to that game's own private storage and stay there; we have no server that holds them and no way to retrieve them. Deleting the game deletes them.
Besides AdMob's own requests, described above, there is exactly one thing these games send us. When — and only when — you make a purchase or tap Restore Purchases, the game sends a record of that transaction to our server, so we can confirm the purchase is genuine and keep what you bought unlocked. That record contains:
The request is signed using Apple's App Attest, which proves it came from a real, unmodified copy of the game rather than from someone impersonating it. That creates a key inside your device's Secure Enclave and stores its identifier in your device keychain. The key is specific to this installation, contains no personal information, and cannot be used to track you anywhere else.
Nothing else is sent. We receive no information about how you play, when you play, or how far you get.
Both games offer a one-time, permanent purchase that removes advertisements. Bricks of Zai additionally offers packs of in-game currency. These transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, collect, or store your payment information. Any purchase information is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
While these games are not specifically directed to children under 13 years of age, we recognise that children may play them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we might have inadvertently collected information from your child, please contact us immediately at the email address at the end of this policy.
Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. You do, however, have these options:
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review it periodically.
